MARIO PAGE ADDS SPEEDSTR SERIES VICTORY

TO HIS NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY WIN LIST

Kyle Mario Page is all smiles after recording his 3rd International

SpeedSTR Series Win of the 2010 season at New Egypt Speedway.

Myerstown, PA - June 19th, 2010 - STR point leader Mario Page has won in numerous divisions at the New Egypt Speedway and now adds the SpeedSTR series to his illustrious list. Steve Hicks (Doylestown, PA) and Gary Hieber Jr. (Langhorne, PA) led a robust field of 17 STR's to the green with Hicks quickly jumping out to the lead over Hieber Jr. and Tyler Potts (Milford, NJ). Meanwhile Mario Page (Hillsborough, NJ) was wasting no time charging to the front from seventh. By lap five Page was contending for the lead from Hicks. Page would take over the top spot but Hicks would hang tough all race long.

By the midway point Gary Huber (Riverdale, NJ) would move into third getting past the DR56 of Hieber Jr. while Doug Sherwood (Piscataway, NJ) who was tough all evening after winning his heat race and running in the top 5 all feature long. The last caution of the evening would set up a late race shoot out. "Hicks got a good run into turn one on me and he could have slid up in front and take the lead but he held his line and I was able to get off turn 2 and pull him down the back stretch Stated Page". Page would go on to collect the $800.00 pay day followed by Hicks, Huber, Hieber Jr., and Sherwood. Kyle Hieber (Langhorne, PA) made a late race challenge for the top five position but would fall just short. Hieber was clearly the hard charger of the race coming from 15th to 6th by the races end.
